I base my spatial installations upon working with waste materials. I use characteristic and aesthetics of cardboard and wooden clippings to express dialogue with geometrical drawings, which I have been producing since the last year. Protracted and unexpectedly-carved shapes resemble timber beams or ruins and can lead to ecological or eschatological questions. The title "Monument" is an ironical disputation with human trace and materials we use without giving them any further attention.

The phenomenon of the new

The present work on the phenomenon of the new sees itself as an introductory structure of kainology. In doing so, it is pursuing two goals. On the one hand, it seeks the establishment of a new philosophical concept and an independent philosophical method, kainology. On the other hand, the main scope of this investigation applies to the problematization of the phenomenon of the new. In order to take a systematic look at the new, the work is divided into three sections, each of which produces its own partial result. The first section deals with the history of the new. Exemplifying the ontological opposition of Heraclitus and Parmenides, the new emerges as a phenomenon that can be treated more precisely in terms of becoming rather than in terms of being. The second section is dedicated to the method. The kainological method is based on the one hand on dialectics as formulated by Hegel and further developed by Adorno. On the other hand, kainology borrows from the method of phenomenology, namely Husserl's. The complementarity of the two pioneering achievements results in four main methodological elements for kainology: first person singular, from fact to Wesen, the included middle and subject-object. The Eschatological Meaning of Jesus' Resurrection (PhD dissertation) Jiří Dosoudil Abstract: The dissertation examines the biblical concept of the resurrection of Jesus. In particular biblical texts, it examines its meaning and how it relates to the last things of man, the world and its history. It traces where the resurrection of Jesus is mentioned in the New Testament and subjects the prominent passages to detailed exegetical analysis. To be able to read the biblical discourse on the resurrection in the appropriate cultural-religious context, it also provides an overview beforehand of how it is anchored in Old Testament ideas about human post-mortem existence and the life-giving power of God. Related but distinct ideas of contemporary paganism are also explored. The work points out significant or recurring moments in the texts it interprets. In a final reflection, it assesses their significance, puts them in context, and shows that the concepts of the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of all believers are related to the Old Testament hope of redeeming God, working on behalf of man in all circumstances. The coming of the Son of Man in the light of Matthew's Eschatological sermon (Matth 24-25)

The diploma thesis The coming of the Son of Man in the light of Matthew's Eschatological sermon (Matth 24-25) is composed of three chapters. The first chapter contains a synoptic comparison Jesus eschatological speeches in Matthew's Gospel with the eschatological speeches of other Synoptic authors. The second chapter contains an exegis of the whole of Matthew's eschatological speech (Mt 24-25), working with various commentaries on these chapters of Matthew's Gospel. The last third chapter builds on some of the findings of the previous chapter and deals directly with the central theme of this work, which is the coming of the Son of Man. After a short discussion of the christological title Son of man, this chapter digresses thematically to the area of mariology. But this digression is not an artificial insertion of the figure of the Virgin Mary into the theme of the coming of the Son of Man, because it arises from the text of the work itself, and from the thought processes contained in it.

The Problems of the Soul in the Context of Christianity

The thesis deals with the emergence of the concept of soul and its anchoring in Christianity. In this context, the theisis indicates the importance of the posthumous surviving element, that is crucial in eschatological expectations. It answers the question of whether the "soul" is a church mechanism to ensure the obedience of believers, as profane society often believes. By describing the eschatological concepts of two Christian wholes, one of which treats the soul differently, the thesis reveals consequences that culminate in a very peculiar interpretation of Scripture. Finally, the thesis shows the "soul" as a theologically necessary category to ensure a cohesive Christian system in the light of biblical statements.

Relationship between eschatology and earthly realities for Jean Daniélou

Abstract. In his books, Jean Daniélou comments on the currents of thought of his time, which often grow out of the nihilistic negation of transcendence, which hurts man and his (inter) subjective position in the world, or as Daniélou says: in reality. The only correct reality for him is one that transcends the realm of visible things (although it necessarily affects it) and which is fulfilled in the eschatological vision of the future. Daniélou's vision of history is also connected with this view of the future: for him, Christianity is both a history and a path leading to salvation, and thus it is written into the history of salvation, but it is also in history. That is, it is influenced by specific socio-cultural coordinates, which it has the ability to create and transform itself. Both of these conceptions of history merge and can be interpreted in the incarnate Word: Christ is the beginning and the end of history. Daniélou speaks of a markedly Christological orientation of history as an already started eschatology (eschatologie commencée). This orientation is also reflected on the individual level, where one has to transform oneself with one's own transformation to become like the Divine image. Augustine's theology of resurrection in the light of Sermones 361-362

Barbora Sadilová Title Augustine's theology of resurrection in the light of Sermones 361-362 Abstract The submitted thesis aims to present Augustine's theology of the resurrection. After examining the biblical foundations of the theology of the resurrection, the thesis deals with the concept of the topic by selected patristic authors before Augustine. The second chapter presents Augustine's doctrine of Christ's resurrection as the cause and beginning of the final resurrection of the dead. In the third part, the work focuses first on the biblical grounding of Augustine's theology of the resurrection of the dead and his controversy with contemporary opponents of the resurrection, especially with Manichaeism and Neoplatonism. Subsequently, his conception of the eschatological resurrection of the body is systematically introduced and his vision of the renewed world and life in it is outlined. Church Music of Johann Sebastian Bach

Annotation: Málková, Eva. Church Music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Prague: Hussite Theological Faculty, Charles University, 2012. Thesis. The aim of this thesis is to introduce church music of Johann Sebastian Bach and its theological announcement. By looking up and appraising musical-theological elements at Bach's work this thesis brings near to the reader the theological, philosophical and mystic thinking of Bach. By pre-understanding and complexity of perception of Bach's church music is possible to see deep sense and aim of artist's work. In the first (theoretical) part I am engaged in systems of thinking that could Bach's church work influence. Then I am specifying the pieces that are supposed to be church music. In the second (practical) part I am looking for musical- theological elements that could Bach be influenced with. By researching of Bach's artistic style I am trying to find correlation of musical and theological contents and I am trying to point out that the message of Bach's church work is relevant.

The Question of History and Time in Modern Theology

The diploma thesis "The Question of History and Time in Modern Theology" aims to introduce the basic forms of thinking about history and time in modern theology. First of all, the work focuses on the initial forms of history and time outside of theology. Results are compared with a basic understanding of the same in Christianity. This is followed by a study of five selected theologians of the 20th century, who were interested in the problem of history and time. The study also reflects reactions to their scholar's conclusions too.
